Updates

The Snapper is back in the U.S., prepared to take a harsh bite into American life. Of course, some rather cool things have happened here during my extended absence (see the last post for a link pertaining to my trip overseas). One example that I'm quite proud of is the release of a CD by Rambling Shadows that features my drumming - click HERE (see bottom of resulting page) to learn more about The Tools and the Stuff. And, why not click HERE to buy a copy? Tsk, tsk - shameless, band/self-promoting Snapper.

New Post

HERE is a link to an article referencing Snapper friend & Rambling Shadows band mate, Jay Moglia. Speaking of the Shadows, last night we recorded basic tracks for three more songs for forthcoming CD(s) from NIGHTWORLD RECORDS. The songs were: "The Mover," "Way Up High," & "Radio Fever." Another song was attempted during the session, "Driver's Eyes," but the performance received mixed reviews - we might have to take another stab at it later.

Little Snapper Post-Surgery

Sitting in Little Snapper's hospital room, as he is done with surgery for hernia repair & here for routine observation. Thankfully, everything's gone well today. It's been scary for us all, even though hernia repair is fairly low-risk. ''Low-risk'' doesn't mean anything when it's your child.

3-Months-Old

Well, here I am at a professional workshop, as I need to earn enough continuing education units (CEU's) to retain my social work license. Good times. In other news, today, Son of Snapper is 3-months-old! He's doing well: smiling, giggling, & grabbing stuff.

Treo 650 Test Post

Wow - the Snapper hasn't posted in a long while ...

Warehouse Next Door & The Washington Post

"Despard's set was preceded by one from the resurrected Rambling Shadows, a quartet featuring Jay Moglia and Scott Wingo, the leaders of semi-legendary D.C. guitar-pop purveyors Crippled Pilgrims. Despard had Molina [sic] up to sing on her version of the Pilgrims' aching "Down Here," which chimed wonderfully, but the Shadows' new material snarled with a distinct garage-rock edge."
